Boost your skills in how to best navigate disagreements and difficult interactions at your PATH Intl. Member Center, regardless of your position or role. This science based, interactive and experiential presentation contains practical and ready-to-use tools for both you and your center.

 

KATY SCHROEDER, PhD Counseling, is an assistant professor with Texas Tech University. She specializes in equine-assisted mental health intervention development and outcome research, and is an expert on working with groups. Her current research efforts involve interdisciplinary collaborations with animal scientists, exercise scientists and psychologists to explore both human and equine outcomes in EAAT settings. She is a PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning.

 

NINA EKHOLM FRY is a director at the Institute for Human-Animal Connection at the University of Denver. She is a PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning, and a former Special Olympics Equestrian Coach. She is a certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP) and has worked with populations diagnosed with trauma/PTSD, ASD, ADHD, anxiety and addiction, as well as with youth at-risk, cancer survivors and military service members and veterans. 

 

Continuing Education

This educational video may be used by PATH Intl. Credentialed Professionals as one hour of continuing education (CE) toward their annual instructor compliance report.
