Testing Plastics for Toughness and Impact Resistance

This webinar presents a basic review of different types of tests used to characterize the resistance behavior of plastics, including impact loading for thermoplastics and fracture toughness for thermoset polymers, and a brief survey of more involved tests. The basis, methodologies, and standards used to test plastics under rapid loading and the influence of different factors on the outcomes are briefly analyzed.
