The Ohio Department of Transportation used cast-in-place reinforced concrete slab bridges to replace several bridges along U.S.23 over the flood plain of the Scioto River. ODOT anticipates that using high-performance concrete and exoxy-coated reinforcing bars will greatly extend the service life of these bridges.
