Ins & Outs of Connexion
September 9, 2021

In this practical 2 hour session, we'll go through OCLC's Connexion from start to finish! We'll briefly go through the process of setting up OCLC's Connexion client / software for Windows including settings (and tips and gotchas that can cause issues), moving on to tools within Connexion to assist with efficiency including how to exclude extraneous or unwanted MARC fields, working with templates for original records, controlling subject headings (and what that means), and macros. We'll also compare and contrast the browser version of Connexion with the desktop version and briefly touch on MARCEdit as a tool for further data cleanup and enrichment. Audience: Anyone who works with Connexion or is interested in learning about Connexion.
