Servant leadership is the positive evolution that we desperately need in our professional and personal lives. The use of servant leadership demonstrates how empathy, leading and compassion can be effective in addressing the myriad of challenges that todays health information management professionals encounter. Whether one is leading themselves or leading others, servant leadership prepares one to positively accomplishprofessional duties as well as impacting one’s personal life. It's time to turn the "me" into "we" to achieve positive results.
This webinar will:
- Explain the history and role servant leadership plays in todays challenging world;
- Show how servant leadership can assist the individual in achieving positive outcomes both in leading themselves and others;
- Explain the basic tenets of servant leadership as it relates to today's health care professional; and
- Challenge participants to change the "me" into "we" when it comes to creating a positive culture in the health information spectrum.

James Pfeiffer serves as a coding educator and quality reviewer for the University of Miami Health and has over 19 years of private industry and consulting experience in health care. He specializes in the areas of revenue enhancement for hospitals and outpatient coding compliance. His expertise includes training in coding methodology both in clinical application and abstracting systems, ICD guidelines and conventions, and CPT. Mr. Pfeiffer is a frequent speaker for various HIM associations and retired from the Army National Guard, where he served as a medic and logistics specialist.
