Webinar on Demand: HIM Professionals Role in MACRA
CHIA Product Code: WEB135
Webinar Date: March 07, 2018
The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) is a bipartisan legislation signed into law in April 2015. Under MACRA’s new Quality Payment Program (QPP), health information professionals will play a prominent role in the transition to value-based care. Success under MACRA relies heavily on the capture and maintenance of trustworthy clinical and financial patient data sets.
HIM professionals will undoubtedly face increased pressure to maintain coding accuracy standards that support new quality and reimbursement objectives going forward. HIM has a unique opportunity in MACRA’s inaugural years to help establish data management protocols for QPP adoption.
- Learn how to identify, trend, track, and submit pertinent data under MACRA;
- Understand the 3 ways HIM professionals are poised to offer data integrity and MACRA support;
- Realize how data-savvy HIM professionals can capitalize on the MACRA transition year to reinvent their roles and focus on helping providers meet reporting objectives and tackle patient-data pain points; and
- Take home valuable best practice checklists for owned, managed and affiliated physician practices to successfully complete MIPS and QPP reporting.
