The Energy Bar Association's Southern Chapter and the Public Utility Research Center at the University of Florida present a three-panel webinar series taking place each Monday for three weeks starting Monday, June 29, 2020. Each Monday will feature a different panel to discuss the lesson and challenges of the post-pandemic energy sector.
On this panel, you will hear about the regulatory approaches to this pandemic. Ronald Brise, former Chair of the Florida Public Service Commission and currently a government affairs consultant, chaired it. Florida Public Service Commission Julie Brown discussed the Florida Commission’s approach. Scott Hempling, nationally respected regulatory attorney and lecturer, discussed making sure regulators achieve accountability from the utilities. The Honorable Tony Clark, formerly of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, described short term issues, medium term issues and long term issues. Performance based rates were also addressed
