The OR Specialist Certification is reserved for applicants who have demonstrated knowledge and work experience in one specific discipline of organizational resilience.
These candidates would usually support those with management and operational control as defined in ICOR’s University. For example, they may be an employee in the risk management department, in data security, the physical security division, or in the training department.
Those applying for the Specialist Certification who work in the public sector might work within the government structure at a local level and have responsibilities that include continuity of government and operations. At the emergency management level, this applicant might be responsible for a specific element of emergency management for a local village or town, such as the fire department or public works.
In addition, applicants may be employed by an organization that supports resiliency and provides resiliency services to other organizations as a vendor or consultant.
Applicants should meet several of the following qualifying elements:
• Applicants should hold a high school diploma or the equivalent.
• At least 3 years experience in at least one discipline of ICOR University
• Have earned a minimum of 3 CEU’s (30 hours) of professional development credit within at least one of the disciplines of ICOR University.
• Certified in at least 1 of the disciplines of ICOR University
