Established in 2012, the Ronald Pipkin Service Award is awarded annually to an LSA Member who has demonstrated sustained and extraordinary service to the Association. Forms of service that will be awarded should be independent of elected office and appointed roles such as Program Chair, although those roles can be considered as part of a larger record. While the award is named to honor the long-time distinguished Executive Officer and the initial recipient is a revered member of the Executive Office staff, in general paid staff members should not be included in the candidate pool. The prize includes a plaque and cash award of $500 (shared in the case of joint recipients). The Executive Committee will serve as the prize committee who selects the awardee each year. Contributions to LSA's prize funds are tax exempt in the U.S. You may donate in any amount you wish by writing over the default in the Amount field.
