This program applies to SCAA company members that are licensed on the BMI License for Specialty Coffee Shops only. Available to retailers within the United States only. Must have a retail location with legal occupancy of 50 or less, cannot serve alcohol or charge an admission fee. The 2014 license is valid until December 31, 2014. Enrollment for 2014 is now open through January 31, 2014. To purchase a license, continue to add to cart and pay $244.43 per location/per license for the year 2014.

What is BMI?

Our purpose is to provide convenient and cost-effective licenses, which grant businesses and other entities the legal permission to play copyrighted music, while protecting the right of songwriters and composers to be paid for the public performance of their musical compisitions.
What service does BMI provide?
A BMI license provides your coffee shop with the necessary copyright clearance to use all 6.5 million musical works in the BMI repertoire in a variety of ways.
What do we get by purchasing a SCAA/BMI Group License?
The license provides copyright clearance for qualifying coffee shops to perform live and recorded music at discounts of at least 30% over BMI’s previous fee schedule.
How do I know if I qualify for the license?
To qualify, SCAA member businesses must have a legal occupancy of 50 persons or less, cannot serve alcohol, or charge an admission fee.
