This 90-minute webinar is part 1 of 2 and was recorded on October 8, 2013.
Chances are, you have dealt with a difficult person at some point in the past (maybe today??). It doesn’t seem to get any easier, does it? With the tips you learn in these sessions, you may never consider it “easy,” but you will begin to understand why they behave the way they do – and after all, it’s the behaviors we find difficult, isn’t it? AND, we’ll discuss tips on how to handle those behaviors.
Session one of the Dealing with Difficult People series, “Why and Who?,” explores why we should even bother understanding the people behind difficult behaviors. We delve into the “intent” behind those difficult behaviors to see why one person is likely to exhibit a specific behavior, while someone else acts totally different – and still annoys us! If you’ve ever wondered if a certain person got up this morning intending to aggravate you, this session will answer that question! (Hint: the answer is “no, probably not!”). We’ll also begin to understand specific behaviors, such as tanks, snipers, and know-it-alls, and whiners ~ what we should and should not do if we want our interactions with them to be effective.
