Mr. Alimohammad is the founder of Rehan Alimohammad, PC. He commenced his legal career as a tax consultant in the international tax law group at the prestigious accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. In 2003, after volunteering with the YMCA International Services as the attorney for a deportation/removal case under the mentorship of Former Immigration Judge and Professor in charge of the Immigration Clinic at the University of Houston Law Center, the late Joe Vail, he developed a passion for defending people from disastrous circumstances including deportation or jail.
Since founding the practice in 2003, he has handled thousands of immigration cases with a variety of issues including 5th Circuit appeals, Board of Immigration appeals, family based cases, labor certifications, H-1b and H-3 visas, L-1 visas, E-1 and E-2 visas, removal/deportation and bond hearings. He has written over 200 articles on immigration topics and has given hundreds of seminars on immigration topics in his career. He currently appears bi-weekly on 1460 AM in Houston answering immigration questions.
As a CPA and tax professional, he also has extensive knowledge of the procedures in resolving both Texas Sales Tax and IRS issues. In the past few years, Rehan has trained around 200 people, including CPA's, attorneys, and Enrolled Agents, on how to resolve a variety of tax issues and available settlement options including Offers in Compromise, Currently Non Collectible Status (CNC), abatement of penalties, etc.
