Hotel Reservations: Reservations will be made by the attendee contacting the hotel directly at 312-787-6100. To receive the group rate, callers must identify as attending the AAA-CPA Fall Meeting & Education Conference.

The AAA-CPA has negotiated a rate of $199 for a standard room during our meeting dates. The hotel will only guarantee our room rate until Friday, October 8, 2010. Reservations made after this date will be accepted by hotel at a space and rate availability basis only. Please note that you should make a hotel reservation even if you are not sure if you can attend to at least get into our block early. Rooms can be released without penalty up to 72 hours before arrival. For those who wish to spend additional time at the hotel, our discounted rates will be honored two days pre and post based on space and rate availability.

Hotel Location: The Doubletree offers one part chic and one part luxury downtown Chicago hotel accommodations in a superb location between the famed Magnificent Mile shopping mecca and the excitement of Navy Pier on Lake Michigan. Walk to dozens of historic Chicago attractions and countless restaurants from the hotel, situated just two blocks east of one of the world’s greatest streets, North Michigan Avenue.

Hotel Amenities: Guest room amenities include: high-speed Internet access, large work desk and ergonomic chairs, 27-inch television, mini-bar, two telephones with ample data jacks, and complimentary coffee makers.

Internet/Wireless Access: Guest rooms feature high speed Internet access via standard network cable (provided), or dial up access through a data port on the phone. Wireless Internet access (WIFI) is also available in the rooms at $9.95 for 24 hours of service from the time of ordering, per room, per laptop.

There is complimentary WIFI in the lobby of the hotel. Internet access in the meeting space is only available to registrants who utilize a wireless air card such as the one provided by Sprint through the AAA-CPA Affinity Program.

Travel

Ground Transportation: Ground transportation to and from the hotel is available by shuttle, limo or taxi. The Doubletree does not offer a shuttle service. Both airports, Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW) International, are 25 minutes by train, taxi, shuttle or limo.

Dress

The dress for the AAA-CPA Fall Meeting casual is business casual. It is suggested that men bring jackets for upscale dining. Comfortable shoes are suggested as the downtown is a walkable city! Remember, we will be in the “windy” city in November.
