Hotel Reservations: The AAA-CPA has negotiated a rate of $215 single/double; $235 Executive Suite; $265 Deluxe Executive Suite during our meeting dates. The hotel will only guarantee our room rate until June 16, 2012. Reservations made after this date will be accepted by the hotel at a space and rate availability basis only. PLEASE NOTE— We strongly encourage you to make a hotel reservation timely, even if you are not sure whether you will be able to attend. To make a reservation, call the hotel directly at 1-206-621-1700, ext. 3131 and identify yourself as being with the American Association of Attorney-CPAs to get the discounted room rates. For those who wish to spend additional time at the hotel, our discounted rates will be honored three days pre- and post-meeting based on space and rate availability.

Travel

Air Travel: The two closest airports to The Fairmont Olympic Hotel are Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and Boeing Field/King County International Airport (BFI). All major airlines fly into SEA.

Ground Transportation: Ground transportation to and from the hotel is available by airport shuttle, limo or taxi. A special discount has been set with Amy’s Limousine for town car service of $50 one way. Call 206-730-7781 to make your reservation. Be sure to mention the AAA-CPA to get the discount.

Parking: Both self parking and valet parking are available at The Fairmont Olympic Hotel.

Weather

Contrary to popular belief, it doesn’t rain in Seattle as often as you might think. In fact, Seattle actually ranks 44th in the nation for average rainfall, well behind cities such as Miami, Boston, Atlanta and New York. Blessed with a mild climate year round, Seattle enjoys subtler seasonal weather than most of the country. In July, August and September, the weather in Seattle boasts average highs in the upper 70s.

Dress

The dress for the AAA-CPA Annual Meeting is business casual. It is suggested that men bring jackets for upscale dining. Comfortable shoes are suggested as Seattle is a walkable city! Temperature preferences may vary in the meeting rooms so a light sweater is recommended.

Be sure to bring some patriotic wear for the final dinner on July 4, 2012, too.
