3D Implant Dentistry: Successful Treatment Planning
(Event: 2013 Central and Western Districts Meeting)

Jun 07, 2013 2:30 pm - Jun 07, 2013 3:30 pm
Session Type: Main Podium

Description

AGD Subject Code 735

New dimension in implant 3D planning provides solutions to complications that are implant driven.  3D diagnostic and planning involve a reverse engineering protocol; driving the implant virtual-planning process.  The reverse engineering protocol includes the setting of all parameters required to prevent a prosthetic failure.  Numerous prosthetic failures come from poor treatment planning, often resulting in wrong implant positioning.

Prosthetic driven treatment planning increases case success and esthetic perfection, allowing the positioning of the implant according to soft tissue biotype, monitoring the implant occlusion, and properly managing the bone volume for the receptor site, in order to meet the highest level of patient expectations.  This presentation will detail the steps through a prosthetic driven implant plan, aimed at failure avoidance.
