The whip is the party’s chief vote-counter and helps shape the House Republican agenda, including what bills to bring to consider. Scalise will be influential in pushing the equipment industry’s legislative priorities, including an infrastructure package, a farm bill, tax reform legislation, and initiatives to expand energy development.
