How to Implement a WISE Pathways Program

WISE (Women in Sustainable Employment) Pathways was developed in partnership with Hard Hatted Women (HHW) in Cleveland, OH and supported by Union County College in New Jersey. This forty-hour career exploration and workplace skills development program includes:

·         An introduction to the energy, manufacturing and construction sectors

·         Hands-on educational experiences focused on getting ready for a career in energy, manufacturing or construction, such as resume writing and mock interviews

·         Administration of the WorkKeys assessments enabling the women to earn their National Career Readiness Certificates

In early 2014, CEWD piloted WISE Pathways in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area.  Member companies included Washington Gas and Pepco.
