Mohammad Hadi, Group Manager - New Product Development & Financial Engineering, S&P Global Market Intelligence
Moody is a Group Manager in New Product Development within Market Intelligence, he leads a team focusing on applying modelling techniques, such as machine learning and data sciences to distill information value for risk management based signals. Previously, he was Co-Head of Research and Development at Credit Market Analysis (CMA), where he lead the model development and research on Credit Default Swaps pricing and risk management. Prior to CMA, Moody was a Senior Quantitative Analyst at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Group, where we worked on Over-The-Counter (OTC) Clearing of Interest Rate and Credit Derivatives and the SPAN Margining Algorithm. Prior to that he had several senior roles in analytical & technical consulting, spanning diverse areas from Asset-Liability Management (ALM) to Business Intelligence (BI).
Moody holds a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, Masters of Science in Operations Research from Columbia University and MBA from the University of Chicago - Booth School of Business.
Gary Komar, Managing Director, Risk Technology Goverance, Citi
Gary Komar is a Managing Director in the Risk Governance Team at Citi, responsible for Technology Governance and Investments. Previously, he led Business Architecture and Smart Automation for Risk Management, including the development of natural language processing tools for Risk Management.
Prior work in Risk at the Firm includes assignments with Market Risk and Credit Risk Analytics Technology for the Global Corporate and Investment Bank, and Market Risk Technology for Salomon Smith Barney. He holds an MBA in International Business Management from the Stern School at New York University, and a BS in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Joerg Landsch, Head of Innovation Labs Americas, Deutsche Bank
Joerg Landsch is the Head of Deutsche Bank Innovation Labs Americas with presences in New York and Silicon Valley. Since joining Deutsche Bank in 2001, he has held a number of business and strategic roles across Corporate & Investment Banking, business development as well as corporate M&A and worked for the bank in Frankfurt, Hanoi, London and New York. Most recently, Joerg supported the bank's digital transformation through his Regional Management responsibilities. Joerg is also an active startup mentor.
Harry Mendell, Senior Research Associate, Innovation Group, Federal Reserve Bank of New York
Harry Mendell specializes in artificial intelligence and natural language processing and applies these techniques to innovative solutions for the Federal Reserve. He is in the Innovation Group and is also co-chairman of the AI Innovation Roundtable which helps to promote the use of AI and machine learning throughout the system.
Harry has a BS and MS in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania. His thesis was in artificial intelligence and computer vision. He then worked at Bell Labs with the original Unix team to design the first Unix based workstation. He then joined the financial sector focusing first on the pricing and trading of equity and credit derivatives and later on risk management and compliance. The re-emergence of AI and NLP around 2012 led Harry back to his original interests in these areas and he formed a startup to research and develop applications in FinTech which included financial compliance tools. Realizing that this mission was too large and too important for a startup he decided to take a more direct route to introducing these ideas and is now working at the Federal Reserve.
Jeremy Lehman, Managing Partner, Machine Intelligence
Jeremy Lehman is managing partner of Machine Intelligence, a management consulting and software engineering consultancy. He advises senior leaders, boards, and private equity investors on advanced analytics and machine learning. Jeremy previously served as head of product and technology for consumer analytics at Experian, CTO for Global Equities at Citi, and CTO for Investment Management at Thomson Reuters. He began his career as an infantry officer with the U.S. Army. Jeremy holds BBA and MBA degrees from University of Miami, and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
