OASIS data collection continues to evolve! Based on the most current CMS guidance available, this workshop provides a comprehensive look at the OASIS items including the OASIS-D1 revisions and OASIS related PDGM information effective January 1, 2020. This effective, up-to-the-minute education is targeted for field data collectors, their supervisors, OASIS educators and reviewers, quality improvement staff, and those preparing for the COS-C Exam.
Experience the comprehensive and nationally acclaimed two-day Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy workshop and learn to confidently teach, audit and collect OASIS-D1 items accurately. Through guided, relatable, expert instruction, and participation in problem-solving discussions and more than 50 application scenarios, achieve mastery of the OASIS items, conventions, and the latest data collection rules.

Rather than provide opinions, assumptions, or unfounded interpretations, the “Blueprint” presenters will model reliance on CMS guidance documents and provide and demonstrate strategies for how to find defendable answers to your OASIS questions.
Workshop Facilitators
Rhonda Will, RN, BS, COS-C, is a registered nurse and has been in home care since 1979 as a direct care provider, intake and utilization manager, quality improvement coordinator, and staff educator. Since 1999, she has developed and conducted provider training nationally related to OASIS, diagnosis coding and regulatory compliance and is a nationally recognized OASIS content matter expert. Rhonda specializes in medical record review to identify OASIS and coding accuracy and to determine compliance with the Medicare Home Health and Hospice benefits. She holds the Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C) designation and is a Senior Consultant with OASIS Answers, Inc.
Kate Dejesus, DPT, COS-C, is a physical therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has a background in inpatient rehab, acute care and home health. She has served in a variety of roles across these settings, including staff clinician, supervisory roles and administrative positions supporting functional outcome measurement, quality improvement, clinical documentation, and operations. She is passionate about helping post-acute providers accurately conduct and code standardized patient assessments to effectively support patient outcomes, outcome reporting and appropriate reimbursement. Kate holds the Certificate for OASIS Specialist -Clinical (COS-C) designation. She is a Post-Acute Care Clinical Consultant with OASIS Answers, Inc., providing national helpdesk support for the Post-Acute Care Quality Reporting Programs and presenting nationally as a member of the Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy presenter team. CERTIFICATE FOR OASIS SPECIALIST – CLINICAL EXAM
Secure a spot by registering at least one week in advance. Onsite exam registration may not be available.
The Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C) Exam is a voluntary certificate examination for those interested in demonstrating and establishing their expertise and commitment to OASIS data accuracy. Administered the day following the Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy training, the scope of the COS-C exam is similar to the Blueprint workshop agenda, covering current CMS OASIS data collection rules and guidance related to OASIS time points, regulations, patient populations and OASIS item specific scoring.
Candidates who successfully pass the examination are awarded the COS-C designation.
