Event Description

AM Session: Come hear from a panel of a experienced school business officials that will share their experiences in negotiating an agreement without a salary schedule. They will share the process that led to a successful collective bargaining agreement and the pros and cons of breaking away from the salary schedule.

PM Session: This session will provide a start to finish understanding of tax increment financing (TIF) and how it effects your district’s budget, levy and tax base. Discussion will also include an overview of other economic development incentives such as property tax abatements, incentive classifications, and enterprise zones. Be sure to attend whether you’ve never encountered development incentives or just need a refresher.

CEU/CPE Credits: 3 pts (1/2 day) or 6 pts (full day)
Designation Points: 3 pts (1/2 day) or 6 pts (full)

Registration & Refreshments: 8:30am - 9:00am
Program: 9:00am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Lunch: 12:00pm - 1:00pm (Only for All Day registrants)
