Understanding and improving emotional intelligence
(EQ) can have a profound and lasting impact on career success. In a cross-industry study, researchers found
that in all levels of management, increased emotional intelligence accounted
for at least 20% more productivity. EQ,
self-awareness and sensitivity toward others, are critical to effective
leadership. This session is for practicing coaches and other
professionals who wish to learn more about how to help clients raise their
emotional intelligence. The program will
cover principles of EQ and review current research and its implications for
evidence-based coaching. Participants will
use individual and small group exercises, role plays and examples to explore
practical and strategic moves for improving EQ competencies.
Upon completion of this program participants will be able to:
· Describe the four EQ
competencies
· Explore the business
importance of EQ
· Assess their own EQ profiles
· Examine how to work with
clients on improving EQ
Prerequisites: Participants
should be practicing or student coaches.
