Professional Therapy Association Panel
Panelists from each professional therapy association will present and discuss their respective organization’s top 2-3 legislative and regulatory priorities for 2020 and their positions on those. Specific topics that will be covered include the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM) for skilled nursing facilities and the Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM) for home health, and the various implementation issues their members have experienced since the payment systems have gone into effect. Panelists will also discuss some of the specific activities/education/discussions they are facilitating this year with respect to both. Other topics will include Interstate Compacts; MACRA as it relates to the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) & Alternative Payment Models (APMs); Managed Care issues; and how their respective organizations think CMS will apply the cuts to their discipline-specific CPT codes in the E&M issue for 2021.
