2014 World History Association Costa Rica Conference
San Jose, Costa Rica
July 16-18, 2014
The World History Association, along with our gracious local host, the University of Costa Rica, are pleased
to announce the 2014 WHA Costa Rica Conference. The dual themes of the conference will be The Environment
in World History and Latin America In World History.
John R. McNeill will present this year's Keynote Address, "How Hungry Mosquitoes Liberated the Americas, 1776-1898."
The conference will offer a wonderful opportunity to commune with an international community of world history
scholars, teachers, and students. The conference venue and official conference hotel, the Costa Rica Marriott Hotel
