A4 - Trends in Psychotropic Medication Utilization in Foster Care: Review of the Texas Approach

This workshop provides an overview of trends regarding psychotropic medications and a discussion of recent research highlighting psychotropic medication utilization among children in foster care. This workshop will also highlight Cenpatico’s Psychotropic Medication Utilization Review (PMUR) process as one way of monitoring appropriate psychotropic medication utilization among the vulnerable, high needs foster care population.
