Cindy Parsons is a licensed registered nurse whose life changed when in 2004, her son, Shane, entered the Army and served honorably in a decorated infantry brigade. In 2006, Shane was critically injured in Iraq and Cindy became a strong advocate for wounded service members. She participated in the Wounded Warrior Project Caregiver Summit in Washington and lobbied Congress for the passage of the “Caregiver and Veteran Omnibus Health Service Act of 2010.” Cindy is currently serving on the board of the Brain Injury Association of Ohio.
