Celebrating nearly 150 years of musical excellence, the renowned Edward Waters College Concert Choir
is and has been applauded for presenting a repertoire of inspirational music and recognized for
exhilarating interpretations of the Classics, Spirituals, Gospel and Contemporary music.
Constantly in demand, the choir has toured extensively throughout Florida, the United States,
Canada and the Bahamas. Each year the choir performs at area schools and embarks upon regional
and national tours with concert appearances inclusive of the Eleventh Episcopal District of the
African Methodist Episcopal Church. The choir also proudly participates in the annual Jacksonville
super viewing party for UNCF’s An Evening of Stars, and EWC’s Annual Fine Arts Scholarship Benefit
Concert with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, where they have shared the stage with renowned
musical artists such as Stephanie Mills, Nancy Wilson, Isaac Hayes, Dionne Warwick, Ray Charles,
Dottie Peoples, Al Jarreau, and others. Most recently (2013), we sang the National Anthem for the
Pre-Season opener of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
