In this session, speaker Leigh Anne Benedic and Adam Bennett walk you through some of the most important legal obligations for employers and effective compliance with throes obligations.

Adam R. Bennett

Adam is an associate at Porter Wright Morris and Arthur, LLP's Columbus office and practices in the Labor & Employment Department.  He focuses his practice on employment discrimination as well as ADA and FMLA compliance.  His experience includes drafting employer position statements in response to employee discrimination charges, conducting independent internal investigations on workplace misconduct, counseling clients through employee termination and retention decisions, reviewing client policies and handbooks for legal compliance and efficacy, and representing clients throughout the litigation process. 

Leigh Anne Benedic 

Leigh Ann defends claims on a wide range of employment laws and issues, including discrimination, retaliation, the Family and Medical Leave Act and other wages and hour laws, as well as labor arbitrations and unfair labor practice charges.  Leigh Anne also contributes to Porter Wright Morris and Arthur, LLP's interdisciplinary approach to internal investigations arising from allegations of misconduct, discrimination, and harassment.  Working closely with our transactional attorneys, Leigh Anne also provides keen counsel on labor and employment issues arising in business transactions.
