Military Family Specialist Certificate Program

This online course addresses the issues military members and their families face prior to and during the deployment of a service member. Strategies to organize, utilize support systems, and readjust to deployment are explored. Identification of the stressors faced by service members and their families and ways to support them prior to and during deployment are presented.
Online courses are designed to be completed within a prescribed time frame. However, participants can log in and out of the course program at any time throughout the week. Registrants will receive a welcome email 3-5 days prior to the start of a course which explains how to log on to Canvas (the program where the course is held online) and a syllabus outlining the required reading materials as well as discussion and learning activities due each week. The name and contact information for the course instructor will also be included.
Please note the courses require a minimum number of registrants. CWLA reserves the right to cancel a course in the event of insufficient registration.
