Military Family Specialist Certificate Program
Military Family Systems (10 CEUs)

This online course addresses: 1) the distinct characteristics of the military family system (MFS); 2) how lifespan development of the MFS is impacted by military life; 3) unique aspects and needs of the military spouse/child and caregiver experience, including kinship care; and 4) several key issues that surround the safety of the MFS such as domestic violence and child abuse/neglect.
Online courses are designed to be completed within a prescribed time frame. However, participants can log in and out of the course program at any time throughout the week. Registrants will receive a welcome email 3-5 days prior to the start of a course which explains how to log on to Canvas (the program where the course is held online) and a syllabus outlining the required reading materials as well as discussion and learning activities due each week. The name and contact information for the course instructor will also be included.
Please note the courses require a minimum number of registrants. CWLA reserves the right to cancel a course in the event of insufficient registration.
