Annual Conference
Members of this committee have an active role in shaping the 2023 Annual Conference in Pittsburgh, PA!  From planning networking activities, to developing breakout sessions, and working with speakers, the members of this committee are an important part of a successful conference.
To assist in the planning of the Annual Conference, please contact Committee Chair, Denise Reid, Hyatt Centric French Quarter New Orleans
Continuing Education
This committee works on the broader-based issues of educational programming within ESPA and is not directly involved in the specifics of the Annual Conference. ESPA presents 10 educational webinars a year, each focused on a different area of event services.  Members of this committee develop the topics, source speakers and panelists, and act as champions for the webinars.  Have ideas about important topics for ESPA to cover?  This committee is for you.

Marketing / Communications
Members of the marketing committee help get the word out about ESPA. They contribute ideas and content for our newsletter event*ure, live tweet our monthly webinars, and foster engagement with prospective members. The committee allows everyone an open forum to exchange article topic suggestions and discuss ways to promote ESPA to target audiences.
To join the Marketing / Communications Committee, please contact Lisa Bethea, CMP, Visit Frisco.
ESPA’s leadership program is for members at the associate director level and higher, and is a forum for leaders in the service field to collaborate, share best practices and talk through challenges and solutions.  The committee will work to develop programs for ESPA's leader-level members throughout the year such as peer to peer calls and webinars, as well as a track at the 2022 Annual Conference in Kansas City, MO.
If you are interested in helping to build future programing for ESPA leaders, please contact Tiffany Eck, CMP, Visit Denver.
DEI Task Force

ESPA is a leading association which advocates for the role and impact Event Service Professionals have within the Tourism and Hospitality industry.  We are the voice of the Event Service profession and create opportunities that educate, engage, elevate and empower Event Service Professionals.

Recognizing the benefits that diversity and inclusion bring to our industry, the ESPA DEI Task Force -- through both intentional and meaningful strategies -- will help to foster diversity and inclusion in the ESPA community; drive members’ cultural and inclusivity awareness, thereby benefitting the industry; and create a guide to an inclusive path forward with collaboration, understanding and growth.

Task Force Goals:

Through education initiatives:

  • Drive member cultural and inclusivity awareness, the benefits of which will extend to the events industry.
  • Help members to understand the power Event Service Professionals have to impact DEI in their local communities.
