Competency Focus: Ethics, Integrity, and Accountability
Join us as we break down the framework and share ways that you can embody the practices towards building more trusting relationships with the organizations you interact with on a day to day basis.
Trust-Based Philanthropy is being embraced by a growing number of foundations as a way to mitigate power imbalances between funders and nonprofits. Driven by the central philosophy that funders should approach grantee relationships from a place of trust rather than distrust, the trust-based framework encourages multi-year unrestricted funding, streamlined reporting, and transparent and responsive communication. At first glance, it may seem that trust-based practices can only be instituted by foundation leadership and/or senior management; however, the reality is that every grantmaking professional – regardless of role – has the ability to embody aspects of this framework.
Participants of this webinar will:
- Develop a deeper understanding of the 7 principles of trust-based philanthropy
- Understand how to apply some of the principles in their day-to-day work
- Receive tools and tips to engage in conversations about trust-based philanthropy with colleagues
