(GMT-6)

Event Description

While many times a lot of thought and planning goes into designing new buildings and additions to existing buildings, too often maintenance of the building's exterior is not given the amount of attention it deserves. Proper maintenance of the building envelope will save significant amounts of money over the life of the facility, extend the life of the facility and can also help prevent or minimize serious problems like building leaks and subsequent damage to the building, poor indoor air quality and energy loss. This seminar will help you discover the best practices for maintaining roofs, exterior walls, windows, waterproofing and pavements. Common defects will be identified and attendees will acquire the knowledge to help them properly examine and evaluate building exteriors, investigate problems, plan for future maintenance and repairs and implement the best practices to solve those issues.
