FREE! School Business Essentials Lunch & Learn Series

Introducing a new Illinois ASBO online professional development series, delivering topics that are essential to your success this school year! “Brown bag it” and spend a working lunch addressing tactical issues that will help you fulfill your job functions.

This spring, the Online Task Force will be hosting four “Webinar Wednesdays” at no cost. Each will take place at your desk (or on your smart phone or tablet) using GoToWebinar, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.

If you are new to the profession, a superintendent who also serves as an SBO, or just wants a refresher on tasks you complete annually — this series is for you! Working school business professionals have planned each webinar with these specific needs in mind, but anyone is welcome to log on and learn.

Wednesday, February 15— Budgeting for Facilities
​As school buildings age, it is imperative for Districts to plan accordingly.  However, where should a District start?  This lunch and learn will describe how one District moves through construction, starting with the planning and ending with a finished product.  In addition, see how they develop a master plan to ensure every aspect of their facility is appropriately maintained and scheduled for replacement.

PD Clock Hours: 1 (available to Illinois ASBO members only)

You must register with Illinois ASBO, then register again with GoTo Meeting to receive your login information. You will receive a separate email asking you to register with GoTo Meeting a few weeks before the event.

Per ISBE regulations, you must be logged into the entire webinar to receive the clock hour credit.​
