Geothermal Heating & Cooling: Digging Deeper for Energy Savings (7/10/2014)

Jul 10, 2014 08:00am -
Jul 10, 2014 12:00pm
(GMT-6)

Event Description

Imagine lowering your 110,000 sq.ft. buildings' natural gas bill to $900.00 for January 2014, one of the coldest months on record. Think about the cost of installing this energy efficient, green system in your schools at a cost less than traditional boilers and chillers.

Join us for a hands-on experience with Prospect Heights SD 23 as they install a geothermal system in two of their grade schools this summer. After touring the facilities under construction, walk through their middle school and see the finished product, which was installed in the summer of 2013. Hear from experts in geothermal systems about how this project came together and learn about associated grants that will help you pay for your project.

**Note: Participants need to bring/wear closed toe, hard sole shoes and if you have a hard hat, please bring. If you do not have a hard hat, one will be provided.**
