Building Envelope Transitions: Key to Success or Failure - (3/6/2014)

Mar 06, 2014 08:00am -
Mar 06, 2014 12:00pm
(GMT-6)

Event Description

Attend this seminar and learn how to avoid building envelope problems through proper design, detailing, and construction. Case studies will be presented to show “real world” problems, what caused them, and how they were solved.

Presenters will draw upon aspects of a 40-year consulting firm history of evaluating and solving existing building envelope problems along with personal project experiences where it has been found that a high percentage of leaks, energy loss, and other serious issues are related to transitions in the building envelope.  Conditions include where the exterior walls meet the roof, around the perimeters of windows and doors, wall-to-foundation interface, or other key transition locations.
