Diversity Webinar - Hollywood on Trial: Images of Women in Law
Hollywood on Trial: Images of Women in Law is a remote multimedia program that contextualizes essential issues like gatekeeping, diversity, and inclusion through fascinating cultural and historical imagery. Using film and television clips that span a full century, Weitzman illustrates the dramatically varied ways popular culture has reflected and redefined our viewpoints and experiences. The program begins in 1916, with the very first cinematic depiction of a working woman inside a courtroom, and ends by exploring the ways contemporary artists are teaching all of us to reject and reframe the biases still entrenched in professional narratives.
