What do startups and library services have in common? More than you think. The attitudes and strategies used in the public sector can help libraries be more customer-focused, responsive and innovative. 
 
This webinar from a librarian turned business owner will cover marketing techniques, sales strategies, business plans and other business-related topics that can help libraries succeed in the fast-paced 21st century.
 
Participants will learn:
-Business sales strategies that relate to libraries
-How a Startup mentality can improve library programs
-What the business community can learn from libraries
 
Presenter:
Carrie Rogers-Whitehead left the Salt Lake County library in 2016 to start her own businesses. Since
2017 she has been a business instructor at Salt Lake Community College and regularly trains in the corporate sector. A 2019 Utah Business 40 under 40 leader, she continues to do work as a library consultant and finds many connections between both industries.
