Aug 20, 2013 02:00pm

Event Description

This program is sponsored by the Florida Library Association Continuing Education Committee

Free legal resources are available through a variety of sources via the Internet. With so many resources out there, how do you choose which ones to show your patrons? What do you do when your patrons need legal advice?

Sponsored by the Florida Library Association and presented by the Florida Legal Services in association with The Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services of the Florida Bar and the Florida Pro Bono Coordinators Association, we invite you to learn about the Lawyers in Libraries project, which strives to increase librarians’ knowledge of the best legal resources for their patrons and patrons’ access to legal resources from lawyers – in public libraries, and all for free! Kathy Grunewald of Florida Legal Services will detail the exciting, two-prong approach that has had great success in other states to get legal services into our libraries in all corners of the state. Come spend an hour learning about how to get lawyers in your library to increase the legal services knowledge of librarians and patrons.

Presented by: Kathy Grunewald, Florida Legal Services
