When Brampton Library decided to implement a system-wide technology training initiative, we realized we couldn't do the same old training sessions...because they just didn't work! Tech Champions relies on a slow method of learning, which fosters a cultural shift towards collaboration, curiosity and the courage to try something new together.

All library employees must be comfortable and competent with technologies and web applications. Many libraries provide training, but some staff are still uneasy - making it difficult to determine if the training had any real impact. Tech Champs is an innovative approach to learning, with an evaluation method tied in to assess outcomes.
