More about the event:
Sailboat racing has long been used as a metaphor for the running of an organization. Much like business, sailing is a complex environment requiring strategic thinking and technical skills where each team member's role is important in steering a course to victory. Strong leadership, open communication, agility to quickly course-correct and great teamwork are all critical for success in sailing and in business.
On board we’ll hear from Barefoot Founders and authors Michael Houlihan and Bonnie Harvey as they discuss traits of successful leadership. And we’ll watch the metaphors of navigating the waters of business come to life as we view a day of the 34th America’s Cup Finals where teams use leadership and teamwork in a race to win the oldest trophy in international sport!
