NFV is increasingly recognized as a key area for investment for the development of 5G networks. Carriers, other network providers and over-the-top companies are looking to scale, manage capital expense and operational expense, provide flexibility, and meet the varying demands of enterprise and carrier customers. Much experimentation, development, and testing are taking place. This session will look at the increasing maturity of NFV, the standardization of APIs, developments in OpenStack and proprietary solutions, behavior, and information models, and future trends such a development of NFV/SDN app stores.
