Writing an op-ed is about more than sharing an opinion. It gives you the opportunity to present yourself or your executive as a thought leader – someone who shapes the narrative in public policy. Learn how to craft and pitch an op-ed from Mike Long, an accomplished writer, speechwriter, educator, and award-winning screenwriter and playwright. He has collaborated on two non-fiction bestsellers, and has been published three times in Vital Speeches of the Day, twice for speeches he delivered. As director of writing for the graduate program in public relations at Georgetown University, he created the original writing curriculum and teaches graduate courses in PR writing, speechwriting, business writing, and persuasion.
