Evolution of State Relations - 2014

Event Description

The nature and dimensions of public policy advocacy are rapidly changing. Whether spurred by political gridlock in Congress, advances in technology and social media or public frustration with government processes, many aspects of our national public policy focus have shifted to the state and local levels.   As a result, forward-thinking organizations are creating and enhancing their state and local government relations practices to reflect the new paradigm in public policy, lobbying and advocacy.

Join the State Relations Working Group for a look inside of the evolution of state government relations programs and hear from leaders in the field on the cutting edge of these new programs.  Learn how and why they decided to get involved at the state and local level and what they’ve learned along the way.  You’ll also receive some useful tips for organizations just getting started.
