Apr 26, 2018 07:00pm

Event Description

Please Join GW’s Graduate School of Political Management and the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) for a panel discussion around advocacy in sports.

The panel will feature current players, former players, and the leading advocate for NFL players on and off the field, NFLPA Executive Director Demaurice Smith.

During the 2016 Presidential Election, we saw football politicized like never before, and the question is, where do we go from here? You will not want to miss this event!

Moderator:

  • Jake Sherman, Co-author, Politico Playbook

Panelists:

  • Demaurice Smith, Executive Director, The National Football Players Association
  • Michael Thomas, Safety, New York Giants

Please reach out to John Brandt at Johnbrandt@gwu.edu if you have questions or need additional information!

This event is hosted by our partner, the Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM).
