Social media web sites have created a new and exciting environment for networking and information sharing. This tool is actively being used by real estate professionals to cultivate leads and communicate with current and potential clients. This class will provide an overview social media, what it is, the evolution and overview of the digital landscape, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more. Technical instruction will be provided on setting up a Facebook page, searching for and connecting to other people, setting up group and organization pages and connecting to other group and organization pages, posting content, news, images, managing profiles, and security settings. This course will also discuss how to use the Advertising tools while maintaining and abiding by the rules of the Connecticut Department of Consumer Services and Real Estate Commission and the guidelines set forth by the National Association of REALTORS'® Code of Ethics; specifically with respect to advertising, disclosure, and professionalism.
