Jonathan Hummel, Governor
Jonathan Hummel is the Deputy Chief Risk Officer of the Americas for Deutsche Bank. His responsibilities include helping oversee the risk for the Intermediate Holding Company, the Bank’s New York Branch and the Combined US Operations. In that capacity he serves as the Vice Chair of the Americas Management Risk Committee (MRC), the Americas Business Unit Cross Risk Representative (BU-CRR) and is the management co-sponsor of the Risk People Project. Additionally, the Americas Enterprise Risk and the COO function report to him.
Jonathan joined Deutsche Bank in 2004 and has held various leadership positions in Credit Risk Management and Business Aligned Risk Management for FX and Rates. Prior to working at Deutsche Bank, Jonathan was in both Credit and in the Business Intelligence Group at Goldman Sachs.
Jonathan is the former Chairperson of the Capital Markets Credit Analysts Society (CMCAS) and is currently on the Board of Governors for the Risk Management Association (RMA) of New York. He has been a speaker on a number of industry panels and a guest lecturer at the London School of Economics and Fordham University. Jonathan is on the board of the Leviticus Fund, a nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) supporting the development of affordable housing and community organizations in the tri-state area. He attended Dartmouth College and graduated with honors.
