The Ukulele has re-gained popularity in recent years, and it is an excellent instrument for use in Music Therapy. The presenter will share a method using simplified chords, chord substitutions, and techniques developed for a Ukulele Club with Older Adults who reside in Independent Living and Long Term Care. Standard right and left hand techniques will be taught along with an adaptive method to help those with cognitive, physical or visual limitations achieve success. A limited number of ukuleles will be provided. Basic Guitar Skills are required. 5 CMTE credits available.
