Miyesha Perry

Associate Director of Grants Management, The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation

Miyesha Perry is the Associate Director of Grants Management at the Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation, which funds nonprofit organizations in the metropolitan Washington area. Since 2002, Miyesha has served in both programmatic and operations positions at the Foundation, including program officer.  As a program officer, her portfolio focused on groups working in the field of health (including primary care, mental health, and substance abuse), those serving prisoners, returning citizens and their families and those working to prevent and combat domestic violence and homelessness.

Most recently, she led The Foundation’s streamlining efforts; migration to online applications and reporting; and re-design of the website.  She is a former Chair and Vice-Chair of the PEAK Grantmaking DC Chapter and a founding board member of the Black Philanthropic Alliance (BPA).  Miyesha received her M.B.A. and B.A. from Trinity College in Washington, DC.  She is a third-generation Washingtonian, licensed Realtor, cheerleading coach and busy mother of two children.  

Jane Ward

Grants Manager, Meyer Foundation

Jane Robinson Ward manages the Meyer Foundation’s grantmaking process, keeping in mind the needs of applicants, grantees, and our program officers to ensure the efficient administration of all aspects of our grantmaking over the entire life of a grant, from application to grant closeout. She also serves as a program officer for Meyer’s Children and Family Capacity-Building Initiative. 

Jane has worked in nonprofits for more than 25 years in Washington, DC, and Minnesota.  Prior to coming to Meyer, Jane spent a decade with the National Council of Nonprofit Associations in a variety of capacities, including program and fund development, finance and administration, and public policy. She also has worked in foundation relations at Carleton College, was founding operations director of the Campus Outreach Opportunity League, and served as consulting program staff for the Commission on National and Community Service. Jane began her career as a center director for DC's Higher Achievement Program. She has served on boards and committees for the Catalogue for Philanthropy Washington DC, the Grants Managers Network, Nonprofit Management Association, COOL, Independent Sector, National Center for Charitable Statistics, and Carleton College.

Jane earned a bachelor of arts degree in English from Carleton College.
