Library Evolution Meets Tech Revolutions

Joe Murphy will cover important disruptive technologies, what they are and what they mean for libraries. The aim is to inspire library staff to embrace the new opportunities and roles. The presentation will outline what the technology revolution looks like right now. It will include major changes we have seen recently and ongoing shifts we can expect.  Learn how the technology revolution impacts content and services, how these changes represent opportunities and challenges for libraries, how the revolution is changing the expectations of our end users, and ways that we can pivot to meet them.
Look for new tools we can use now, technologies we should prepare to use in our libraries, and the skills related to technology and innovation that will help us continue to succeed in the future. This will all have a slant towards empowering librarians with realistic directions for action and an emphasis on motivation and fun.
