Linda HofschireMLIS, PhD is the Director of the Library Research Service of the Colorado State Library, a unit of the Colorado Department of Education.  She has more than fifteen years of experience working in social science research and evaluation.  At LRS she manages a variety of research and evaluation projects such as a biennial study of U.S. public library websites and social media, and outcomes-based evaluations of state library programs.  She also serves as chair of ALA's Committee on Research and Statistics.

 

Jamie LaRue is director of the ALA's Office for Intellectual Freedom, and the Freedom to Read Foundation. Author of "The New Inquisition: Understanding and Managing Intellectual Freedom Challenges," LaRue was a public library director for many years (including a 24 year tenure as director of the Douglas County Libraries in Colorado), as well as a weekly newspaper columnist and cable TV host. He has written, spoken, and consulted on leadership and organizational development, community engagement, and the future of libraries.

 

Sharon Morris, MLS, is Director of Library Development at the Colorado State Library.  She is completing a doctorate in Managerial Leadership in Libraries from Simmons College and has worked at the state library for Thirteen years and previously worked at the Denver, CO public Library for nine years.  She provides workshops throughout Colorado and nationally on library development topics.  She also facilitates public library strategic planning, focus groups, usability testing, and needs assessment.

Rochelle Logan recently retired as Associate Director of Support Services at Douglas County Libraries, Colorado (DCL). In her role at DCL, she oversaw management of Collection Services, Bibliographic Services, Literacy and the Douglas County History Research Center.  She currently serves on the PLA Project Outcome Taskforce where she is helping design, test and implement tools for outcome measurement for libraries across the country. Rochelle has an MLS from the University of Denver and a BBA from Texas Tech University. Rochelle is now a library consultant specializing in data analysis, evaluation, and planning.
